FAQ
Yes!
It is a body butter for a reason. So it is normal that the consistency is much thicker than your typical drug store lotion.
Depending on weather conditions it is also possible that the body butter melts a little bit (for instance, in extreme heat). If this is the case, feel free to set it back in a cooler room until it solidifies again (or, to speed up the process, you can put it in the fridge for a bit!)
Every body butter includes the following ingredients: shea butter, arrowroot powder, coconut oil, vitamin E oil and essential oils (the only jar without essential oils is the unscented version).
However, like any product you apply to your skin, there is a possibility of skin irritation or an allergic reaction.
To ensure this isn't the case, you should conduct a patch test to see how your skin handles it.
Wash the area of skin that you will be using
Apply a small amount of the product you are testing
Cover the area with a bandaid
Wait up to 24 hours (however, if you experience any itching or burning, remove the bandaid and wash the affected area right away)
After 24 hours, remove the bandaid and see if there has been any reaction

Every jar of body butter includes the following ingredients: shea butter, arrow root powder, coconut oil, vitamin E oil and essential oils (the only jar without essential oils is the unscented version).
Shea butter naturally has many properties that can help with acne, scarring, wrinkles, etc. Coconut oil has also been shown to help on ones face, but can cause pores to be clogged depending on skin type.

At the end of the day, it is entirely up to you if you are comfortable using these ingredients on your face! I recommend a patch test to see how your skin reacts first.
If you are unsure how to conduct a patch test, read How do I conduct a patch test? here.
